About Us

A Performing Arts School with a difference

Even before it was launched the Managing Principal Joelle Jones had very strong views as to how best students could benefit and develop by a visit from or attending Turbelle’s Performing Arts.

The school covers a wide age group, from three to fifty years old, with varied abilities and different needs. Whilst some students attend because they simply love and want to learn how to dance, sing and act, others are attending because they are planning a career in performing, requiring the classical subjects; like ballet and tap and skills like singing and acting. Turbelle’s professional tutors are able to cater for all those needs, encouraging and supporting their students as teachers, and mentors.

Progression and achievement is catered for, with the students being prepared for exams, medal tests, competitions, festivals and Turbelle’s own production.

Turbelle’s is a multi-cultural, happy, team spirited and friendly school, whilst keeping a disciplined and structured environment.

Performances

The year 2009 saw Turbelle’s students perform on 12 stages, including Kenneth More Theatre, Mote Hall and Sadler’s Wells. Turbelle’s were successful in being awarded three major trophies and will continue to participate in more festivals and competitions in the coming year
